St. Ives has thriving performing arts and music scene, with great local bands, a theatre company and a variety of excellent venues, where there is something on most nights of the week throughout the year.
The variety of venues includes The Isobar, The Royal Cinema, Liberties, The Queens Hotel, The Golden Lion, The Western Hotel, Kidz R Us, The Guildhall and St Ives Arts Club.
St Ives annually hosts a major two week Festival of Music and Arts in September with a wide mixture of events taking place at various venues throughout the town.
All musical tastes are catered for from classical to jazz and blues. Theatre and film productions will be on show during the fortnight along with poetry and literature readings. The September festival is one not to be missed.
